This fall, Alan Gilbert leads the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester in performances in Hamburg and beyond.
Together, Alan and the orchestra explore Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony in E major, which Gilbert and the orchestra recorded for Sony Classical this summer, and released on Sep 6 when Alan inaugurated his tenure.
They perform on November 7 & 10 in Hamburg. Augustin Hadelich, the NDREO’s inaugural Associate Artist, joins to perform Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in the first of his many appearances over the next three seasons.
Leonidas Kavakos joins Alan and the orchestra on tour in Europe for Bartók – they perform in San Sebastián, Spain (Nov 12), Barcelona (Nov 13), and Munich (Nov 14). They return to Hamburg for a concert on November 16.
