In seven years as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic, Alan Gilbert has continued to evolve the role of the modern orchestra.

Last summer, as Artist-in-Residence of the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Alan Gilbert led an all-star orchestra of 44 superlative musicians.

Now in his seventh season as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic, Alan Gilbert is also a favored guest with many of Europe’s preeminent orchestras.

This winter, Alan Gilbert celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jean Sibelius with leading orchestras on three continents.

Following triumphant season-opening concerts with the New York Philharmonic at David Geffen Hall and Carnegie Hall, Alan Gilbert heads to Europe for important debuts with the Staatskapelle Dresden (Oct 23–25) and London’s Academy of St. Martin in the Fields (Dec 13).
