Conducting the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra

Beginning on November 18, Alan Gilbert conducts three concerts with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra stepping in for Franz Welser-Möst at short notice. On November 18 and 19, Alan conducts identical programs featuring Haydn’s Symphony No. 39 in G minor, Brahms’ “Haydn Variations,” as well as Schumann’s second symphony. Alan joins the orchestra once more on November 26 for a concert featuring Bernd Richard Deutsch’s “Mad Dog,” the second symphony of Franz Schubert, and Brahms’ “Academic Festival Overture.” The first two concerts will host a 50-person audience, and both the performance on November 19 and 26 are to be live-streamed on konserthuset.se.
