Next month, Alan conducts the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. They present Schubert’s Second Symphony and Mahler’s First Symphony. Performances take place on July 15 & 16.
On July 21, in an evening dedicated to America – commemorating the 100th birth of Leonard Bernstein and 120 years of George Gershwin’s birth – Alan and the orchestra perform Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony, Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Gershwin’s An American in Paris.
