This March, Alan joins the Royal Swedish Orchestra for Beethoven’s magnificent Symphony no. 6 “Pastoral.”

Drawing inspiration from nature, Beethoven invites the listener for a walk through his residence in the idyllic countryside. Because of this connection with nature and movements with visually-inspired names like “Scene by the Brook,” or “Thunderstorm,” many view this work at Beethoven’s great leap forward into Romanticism.

Also on the program is Emilie Mayer’s Faust Overture. Alan conducts this this program on March 25 as part of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic’s Beethoven Festival.
