This spring, Alan leads the NDR Elbphilharmonie in two programs as part of the Hamburg International Music Festival.
Alan conducts the opening concerts on April 24 and 25, which feature Sofia Gubaidulina’s Der Reiter auf dem weißen Pferd, Dvořák’s Violin Concerto with soloist Lisa Batiashvili, and Janáček’s Missa Glagolskaja with the Prague Philharmonic Choir and soloists.
Continuing the residency, Alan leads Mahler’s colossal Symphony No. 9in D major. The orchestra gives performances of the work in Hamburg on April 30 and May 3, and in Lübeck on May 1.
