Alan Gilbert helms two performances during the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra’s six-concert February festival “Age of Anxiety – An American Journey.” Named for the W. H. Auden poem, the festival explores a wide panorama of 20th-century American music.

On February 11 and 12, Alan leads the orchestra in a program of Copland, Barber and Korngold with violinist Leonidas Kavakos and narration by Morris Robinson. The February 12 performance will be available to livestream on www.elbphilharmonie.com.
