This February, Alan Gilbert leads the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in two diverse programs featuring the music of Bartók, Brahms, Webern, and more.

On February 20 and 23, Alan and the NDR are joined by pianist Yefim Bronfman for Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor. The program also includes Chorós Chordón by Korean composer Unsuk Chin and Bartók’s Der holzgeschnitzte Prinz.

Violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann joins the orchestra for Alban Berg’s Violin Concerto on February 27 and 28. Also on this program are Anton Webern’s Im Sommerwind, Idylle für großes Orchester and Brahms’s Symphony No. 3.
